The 2000 Decennial Census showed that the Village of Burr Ridge has grown more than 35% since 1990, from a population of 7,684 to a population of 10,408. This is an increase of 1,067 or more than 11% over the 1995 special census figure of 9,341. The census counted 3,679 housing units, with 138 of these vacant.

The Village of Burr Ridge continues to grow and a population of more than 17,000 is possible by the year 2020 if the vacant lands in the Village and in the unincorporated areas within the Village's projected ultimate boundaries are developed.

More than 43 percent of the households had an income of $150,000 or more; more than 50 percent of the families had an income of $150,000 or more.
