The Burr Ridge Village Center received preliminary approval in April, 2005 and the final plans for the first phase were approved in October. The developer, Opus North, will build a mixed use Village Center featuring an open air shopping experience characterized by upscale retain and restaurants along a main street. The approximately 249,000 square foot development will include approximately 191,000 square feet of retail, 25,000 square feet of restaurants, 33,000 square feet of office space plus 179 condominium units. As of this writing, their goal is to have their grand opening in the spring of 2007.
