Permits are required for most signs. Certain types of signs require conditional sign approval by the Board of Trustees after review by the Plan Commission. An application for Conditional Sign approval and for sign variations can be accessed via the Quick links. Temporary signs, such as real estate signs and right of way signs (for example, a sign advertising a garage sale) are regulated by Article III of the Sign Ordinance. Permanent signs identifying businesses are regulated by Zoning District. Please check the zoning of the property and then review the pertinent section of the Sign Ordinance.
