Zoning Regulations

The Community Development Department is responsible for the administration of the Village's Zoning and Building Ordinances. The quick links, on the left, provide basic information about zoning regulations, building codes, and related procedures.  The on-line map is updated through January 1, 2010. Hard copies are available for purchase at the Village Hall.

Please remember that the Village's building and zoning regulations were created by and for the benefit of Village residents. All zoning and building standards are approved by the Board of Trustees, with the advice of the Plan Commission, and only after review and consideration at public meetings. The contribution of Village residents as members of the Board of Trustees and the Plan Commission, and participation of residents at public meetings is a primary reason why Burr Ridge is A Very Special Place.

The mission of the Community Development Department is to assist residents in complying with these regulations. If you have questions which are not answered on our web site, please call the Village Hall. Specific questions regarding zoning and building codes and procedures should be directed to the following Village staff:

Julie Tejkowski, Building and Zoning Assistant

Evan Walter, Assistant to the Village Administrator
