The holidays are upon us and all of downtown Burr Ridge is preparing for Santa's arrival on Saturday, November 8th, beginning at 4:30 p.m.  You are cordially invited to join the parade down Village Center Drive toward the Village Green and our 2nd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Jingle Mingle is a family friendly event that includes:

This dazzling night of lights and fun activities is sure to get you in the holiday spirit.  Pets welcome.  Admission to the event is free; however, we are requesting two non-perishable food items per family.  All donations will benefit the DuPage County Food Bank.

Due to a lack of a quorum, the Stormwater Management Committee scheduled on November 11 has been cancelled.

The next Veterans Memorial Committee meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, November 12, at 5:30 p.m.

The next Board of Fire and Police Commissioners meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available for review at the Village Hall.

The next Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event is scheduled on Wednesday, November 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event, entitled "Connecting at the Center", will be held at the Burr Ridge Village Center, beginning at the Residential Sales Center located in the out-lot near the entry to the Center (look for balloons), followed by refreshments at Topaz Café. The next Pathway Commission meeting is scheduled on Thursday, November 13, at 7:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available for review at the Village Hall.

The next Plan Commission meeting is scheduled on Monday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m.

The next Downtown Burr Ridge Events Planning Committee meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m.

The next Economic Development Committee meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m.

The next Environmental Quality Commission meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, November 19, at 7:30 p.m.

The Economic Development Committee has scheduled its annual Business Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, November 20, beginning at 7:15 a.m. This year’s event will be held at The Oaks Hotel and Convention Center, 15W300 South Frontage Road. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Executive Secretary Barbara Popp by no later than Friday, November 14.

The 2^nd November meeting of the Veterans Memorial Committee is scheduled on Wednesday, November 26, at 5:30 p.m.

A letter and draft vegetation agreement that was sent this week by Mayor Grasso to Mr. Fidel Marquez, of Commonwealth Edison, is available for review at the Village Hall.

A memo from Public Works Director/Village Engineer Paul May regarding the removal of the underground storage tanks, which occurred on November 7, is available for review at the Village Hall.

A follow-up letter was sent this week to residents and property owners near the two parcels of land that the Village is selling, as well as Presidents of all Village Homeowners' Associations, updating them on the progress of this pending sale.

The Building Report for the month of October, prepared by Building & Zoning Assistant Julie Tejkowski, is available for review at the Village Hall. The report shows the following building permits issued during the month:

A year-to-date grand total of 88 permits were issued for a year-to-date construction value of $38,996,565.

The Financial Information Reports for the month of October, prepared by Finance Director Jerry Sapp and Assistant Finance Director Lynette Zurawski, are available for review at the Village Hall.
