PART-TIME GENERAL UTILITY WORKER

The Village of Burr Ridge Public Works Department is accepting applications for Part-time General Utility Worker. Responsibilities include maintaining public buildings, utility systems, and roadways, plowing and shoveling snow, landscaping, operating power tools and construction equipment, and general assistance in the Department. An Illinois CDL license Class A or B with N or X endorsement and non-restrictive air brakes is preferred, or a Class D license with safe driving record. and high school diploma or equivalent. Position wage starts at $17.82 per hour and does not include benefits, but employees are given preference when filling a full-time vacancy. Candidates must pass a physical exam, drug screening and background check, and provide a driving abstract. Applications will be accepted until position is filled and are available at 7660 S. Seasonal Snow Plow Driver

The Village of Burr Ridge Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Seasonal Snow Plow Driver. This is an on-call position and will last approximately 4 months. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and possess a strong work ethic. An Illinois CDL license Class A or B with an N or X endorsement and non-restrictive air brakes is preferred or a D license with safe driving record. Possession of a CDL or experience with snow plowing and salt spreading a plus. The hourly rate is $12 to $17 depending on qualifications.
