Customers are billed on a bi-monthly basis for water usage. Bills are mailed during the second week of the month (Cook County in even number months and DuPage County in odd number months) and payment is due 25 days after the billing date. A 10% penalty is applied if payment is not received by the due date regardless of when the payment was postmarked. We apologize for any inconvenience, but the Village does not offer a grace period on water bills. Charges that are not paid may be subject to disconnection of service. You may now sign up for E-Billing to have your water bill emailed to you by clicking on the “E-Billing” link on the left.
Residents should contact the Village if they notice a discrepancy between the readings of the inside meter and the outside remote register. Also residents who are moving must call the Village to schedule an appointment for a final reading and provide information of the new water customer. If you have experienced a larger than anticipated water bill, please consider several potential causes for an increase in your water bill. Watering your yard and landscaping, hosting overnight guests, and major holidays. Often, the most common reason is a “running” toilet. To determine if your toilet is running, put a few drops of food coloring in the back of the toilet tank and wait 30 minutes. Do not flush. If colored water appears in your toilet bowl, the toilet is using water unnecessarily and requires repair. Residents should contact the Village if they notice a discrepancy between the readings of the inside meter and outside remote register.

Direct Debit Program
The Village has a direct debit program for payment of Burr Ridge water and sewer bills. The required Authorization Agreement can be obtained at Village Hall or may be downloaded from our Forms page. A voided check indicating the bank account that is to be debited must be attached to the signed form. Direct Debit must be activated prior to a billing cycle and the Village requires at least 30 days prior to a change in a direct debit bank account. The transaction will appear on your monthly bank statement and you will continue to receive statements from the Village. Call (630) 850-4130 with questions.
Online Bill Pay
Village water customers can pay their water bills online with a Visa or MasterCard. Online Users will be asked to provide several pieces of information on a secure site including their water billing account number and pin number. Please note that there is a convenience fee for online transactions. Anyone experiencing technical difficulties should call (630) 850-4130.
Customer Water Portal
Access your water account online. Residents and businesses can access their accounts, view account balances, history, water consumption, and pay online. Click "Pay your water bill online" to view the AccessMyGov website. Your secure PIN is located on the front of your water bill under your account number.
