GENERAL UTILITY WORKER:

The Village of Burr Ridge Public Works Department is accepting applications for Part-time General Utility Worker.  Responsibilities include maintaining public buildings, utility systems, and roadways, plowing and shoveling snow, landscaping, operating power tools and construction equipment, and general assistance in the Department.  A high school diploma is required, along with a safe record on an Illinois driver’s license.  A CDL Class A or B is preferred or ability to obtain in 6 months.  Position wage starts at $18.80 per hour and does not include benefits, but part-time employees will be given preference when filling a full-time vacancy.  Selected candidate must pass a physical exam, drug screening and background check, and provide a driving abstract.

SEASONAL SNOW PLOW DRIVER:

The Department of Public Works in the Village of Burr Ridge is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Seasonal Snow Plow Driver. This is an on-call position from December through March.  Preferred applicants will possess an Illinois CDL Class A or B with Tanker Endorsement and Full Air Brakes, but a Class D driver's license with safe driving record and snow plowing experience would be accepted.  Applicants must be available on evenings and weekends, at least 21 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience with salt spreading a plus.  The hourly rate is $15 to $17 depending on qualifications. Selected candidates must undergo a drug screening, physical exam, background check and provide a driving record abstract prior to employment.

FULL- TIME POLICE RECORDS SPECIALIST I:
APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 30, 2020

The Burr Ridge Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the Full- Time position of Records Specialist I. This position includes answering non- emergency phone lines and providing direct assistance to the public and other Village Employees; as well as performing a variety of general clerical work including data entry; scanning, photocopying and filing documents that are confidential in nature.
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Illinois driver' s license.  Excellent Data Entry skills and proficiency in modern business applications; including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.  Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Visual and hearing acuity equivalence to perform competencies.  Ability to successfully complete the Department' s screening process; including a criminal background check and pre- employment medical exam and drug testing.

This is a non- union, non- exempt, forty hours per week position with an excellent benefit package including: health, dental, life insurance, IMRF pension, paid vacation, holidays and sick days.

Hours of work are: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5: 00pm. Candidates should be flexible and able to work additional hours to cover staffing needs. The starting pay is 19. 46/ hour.
