Requests for information or records that pertain to the Village of Burr Ridge Police Department (PD) should be submitted online via the online submission form below.

For administrative and environmental purposes, the Village prefers FOIA requests to be submitted using the online submission form. However, you may still submit your request using this FOIA form (PDF) sent to the attention of the PD FOIA Officer at the Burr Ridge Police Department, 7700 County Line Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527. You may also make a request in person to the PD FOIA Officer during regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Not all public documents are available in an electronic format. If the document(s) requested are not available electronically, the Village of Burr Ridge will make them available for on-site inspection or by paper copy in accordance with the Illlinois Freedom of Information Act.

By submitting this form, you understand the following statements:

1. In accordance with FOIA (5 ILCS 140/7(1)(b) Exemption (Private Information) and (5 ILCS 140(7)(c) Exemption (Personal Information), third party Private and Personal information will be redacted from any record responsive to this request.
2. The first 50 pages of a FOIA response are free, additional pages are $.15 a page. Color copies or unusually sized copies will be charged the actual cost of copying. Pursuant to Section 5/11-416 of the Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/11-416), there is a $5 fee for copies of Traffic Crash reports.
3. The Village will respond to a request for public records within five (5) business days (twenty-one (21) days for commercial requests) after receipt.

In the event of a record request denial, the requestor has the right, under the Illinois Freedom Act, to appeal their request in writing directly to the Public Access Counselor of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
