Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing in October

Sanitary sewer smoke testing will take place during October.  Specific areas on the Cook County side of the Village will be tested.  Affected residents already received a mailed notice but will also get a door hanger one day before testing.

Please note that smoke testing is non-toxic and harmless. The Village must use this procedure to find cracks and cross connections in our sewer pipes.  If smoke enters your home during these tests, then it indicates you have a plumbing problem, and a team member nearby on the street performing the test will stop to help you.
