The Burr Ridge Police Department is now using an online portal to process requests for vacation house watches and overnight parking requests.
Using FRONTLINE Public Safety Solutions, citizens can safely and securely submit this information online which will then be directed to the Police Department. The online portal is available here or clicking the image above.
Message from Chief John Madden:
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Burr Ridge Police Department web page. These are truly challenging, trying, and uncertain times. Since mid-March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way of life for so many people.
Although our officers are issued personal protective equipment, the threat of the invisible enemy, COVID-19, is on their minds as they report for duty and answer calls for service in our community. As I have said many times, I am very proud of our officers and their unwavering dedication to duty. The Officers have risen to these new challenges every day without hesitation to serve the residents and visitors of the Village.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused some operational changes, but rest assured your Police department is available 24/7 to assist you. Although our police department lobby doors are temporarily locked, the building is staffed. If you need service, enter the vestibule, press the button on the call box, and someone will assist you.
Many reports are temporarily being handled over the telephone. Necessary in-person interactions will have officers wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining social distancing. Emergency calls for service will see no operational changes.
I ask that all residents continue to be hyper-aware of scams related to the COVID-19 outbreak, which may include scare tactics and requests for personal information or monetary payments. Remember to lock you vehicle doors, remove valuables from inside your car, and do not leave your key fob inside your car. Just because there is a Stay at Home Order doesn’t mean that criminals are following it!
Finally, I would like to thank all the residents and business owners that have donated supplies, such as hand sanitizer, face masks, shields, and gloves to the Department. I would also like to thank all that have sent a note or card thanking our employees for their hard work and dedication.
Remember, we’re in this together. Stay safe, Stay healthy, and Stay home.
Chief John W. Madden Jr.
